Preparing a Herbal Tea

One packet of herbs is to be used for ONE DAY. Empty the packet into a non-stick saucepan.

Cover them with cold water and allow them to soak for a while.

After soaking bring them to the boil and then simmer for half an hour. Please leave a small vent for the steam to come out. Do not boil too fast and check occasionally that there is still enough water to cover the herbs as they simmer.

Pour out the liquid only to make one cupful enough for the first drink.

Refill the sauce pan with water and repeat step 2-4 again.

You then pour off the second cupful and throw away the herbs and sediment.

Make sure the tea is warm before drinking (see preparation instructions). Re-heat if necessary. Drink one cupful in the morning and one in the evening 30 minutes after meals unless directed otherwise.
